Karma

Karma

Karma classes supporting Asha Nepal, a UK-registered charity working for the rights of women and girls in Nepal.

"Asha" - Nepali word for hope.

Working with Nepali partner organizations, Asha offers a safe space, social support as well as opportunities for education and training for Nepali women and girls who have experienced human rights abuses. Asha's goal is to support them on their journeys to become self-sufficient and fully re-integrate into society.  Its projects include the Shakti Kendra refuge, established in 2004 as a safe house for victims of sex trafficking.  Women at the refuge can access support, counseling and vocational training during their stay.  Spaces are currently limited though demand is high: additional funding will help Asha reach more women in need. Asha also supports children's education and healthcare initiatives.
