Kula Annex Yoga 2010 Teacher Training

This 200 hour program will begin by transforming the foundation of your practice through the deep exploration of asana (postures), alignment principles, pranayama (breath work), meditation and philosophy.  From this foundation, we will delve into the art and technique of teaching to empower you to become a skillful and inspiring teacher.  

The teacher training requires a willingness to connect deeper, to cultivate a steady practice, and celebrate this life long process of learning and self-discovery.  

Course Curriculum:

•Biomechanical principles of alignment •Anatomy components for a strong and safe practice •Yoga history and philosophy from a tantric perspective •Meditation and pranayama •Inspiring students to move from the inside out •Guidelines for expanding your practice beyond the mat •Tools for effective teaching •Teaching intuitively •Hands-on adjustments and therapeutics applications •Weaving intention and poetic philosophy into classes •Sequencing and modifications for all levels 

This program offers a supportive environment for you students seeking to deepen their own practice and/or to effectively and confidently journey into the seat of the teacher.  

Class Format: 

We will gather 10 weekends from April to December, 2010 on Friday 6-10 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 9am-6pm.  

Weekend Dates:
April 16-18 ; May 7-9 ; May 28-30 ; June 11-13 ; June 25-27

SUMMER BREAK 

September 18-20 ; October 15-17 ; November 5-7 ; November 19-21 ; December 3-5

Christi-an Slomka

Christi-an Slomka is the Director of the Kula Annex Teacher Training and is an Anusara-Inspired Teacher committed to guiding all students to live fully in the splendor within and all around.

Guest Faculty:
Colin Matthews

Colin Matthews is the Director of Kula Yoga Studios and an Intuitive Counselor who invites an ever-evolving conversation of self-empowerment, healing and intention.

Christopher Wallis (Hareesh)

Hareesh teaches Indian Philosophy with a combination of intellectual clarity, insight, and enthusiastic warm-heartedness that is extremely rare.

The training will be held at Trinity Yoga located at 65 Bellwoods Avenue

Investment:

$3600 + taxes

 

*Fees include unlimited yoga classes at kula annex during the duration of the training, a copy of the Anusara Teacher Training Manual,  two yoga blocks and a yoga strap.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a place in the training ) : Payment plans are available.
